Tareeq Musafer started out as a DJ in 1984 and has been in the forefront of the music business since the early nineties, both in Australia and Sri Lanka. His career has taken him on tours with top acts like John Digweed, Smokin’ Jo, Boy George, M People to name a few and has held residencies at some of the best clubs in Melbourne during the mid nineties. In Sri Lanka, he part owned and operated the infamous Glow lounge, Tantra and then Onyx whilst also managing his own events company and organizing premier hi end parties, over the past eleven years.
Launching the DJ Academy has been his boldest project to date, but it’s also his most passionate venture. As the founder and CEO he not only manages the strategic direction of the academy but is also the key developer of the curriculum and the head of DJ of training.
