I was 10 when my interest for music was identified by my dad’s friend who was a leading Radio personality at radio Ceylon then. He was impressed about my music knowledge and the showbiz scene around the world . he was amazed by the fact that as a kid I loved the Roling stones, beatles, the doors music that the more mature folk & teens loved .

There was no FM & internet then I remember listening to a lot of radio and read what ever I found about music. my aunts sent me heaps of magazines & helped me a lot Cause that’s what I only wanted not toys or chocolates . I remember collecting music tapes just anything I could find and also asking my dad to Record music for me from the uyana record bar at bambalapitiya

Then I started playing music for small parties using a tape deck just selecting and Playing tracks that people loved but did not realize i was that was DJ’ing . I didn’t know what DJ’ng was but I remember everyone enjoyed what ever I played.

Then one day I accidentally got a chance to drop in at my dads favorite night spot I had to go with my uncle to pick my dad up cause he was late . I was not allowed in so I had to stay just at the entrance till my uncle traced my dad . next to the entrance was the DJ booth & I remember slowly creeping in. some one called Harpo & smokey play’d that night. I got home but didn’t sleep that night at all. I knew I could be one of them.

That was the turning point in my career I never looked back I will never regret for I know for sure that DJ’s are not made they are born with DJ talent for I realized I was doing it even before I even knew what DJing is all about In a few years I was turning out to be quite a hit many friends wanted my help to play for
Parties & I was making some serious money . then I used to organize disco’s every month and slowly the crowd started picking up then I started buying equipment and investing in the industry . thanks to big names like Harpo, Eugene, & Satty Watson I take pride in being at the top , and dominating the mobile DJ scene to date

I also provide expert production advice, a leading supplier & a event manager.

I have trained many top DJs who are doing really well here & abroad and shall continue to help any one who is serious in being a professional DJ. I like to share my knowledge with other DJ’s so that the DJ scene can be uplifted and a DJ will be a well respected Entertainer.

I take pride in using world best equipment like Technics, Allen & heath , Pioneer , Rain , & Martin . I also use state of the art show lighting for my gigs . music vise I am very versatile & up to date with the hottest tunes as well as music from the 60’s . a DJ who does not dislike any type of music .as a mobile DJ I play to different type of crowds every week and its amazing how party people go crazy to my music.

My most memorable gig was playing for the Millennium dance at the Hilton Colombo I was the highest paid DJ that year My most unforgettable times were when my mother helped me to carry equipment for my Gigs in my early days when I couldn’t afford an assistant

Carl Cox and Norman Cooke were my favorite DJs in the past . Right now its Tiesto!!
