DJ 125 - SERATO DIGITAL VINYLS – INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED

Overview
This 3 week course prepares students to perform live at events and clubs using the Serato software. Students will learn how to fully utilize all the features and help improve their mixing. At the end of the course, students will perform a 15 minute set incorporating all the skills they have acquired from the course.
Course specifics
Prerequisites / Skills Requirements: Students must have completed DJ 120 or have a good understanding of the Serato software and basic DJ skills
Equipment Requirements: NONE (all equipment will be provided). Students are allowed to bring their own laptops and Serato if they should desire.
Course duration: 12hrs
Practice Times: Practice times are free – Mon. to Thurs. 10am – 7pm

- Brief review of DJ 101 & 120 concepts
- Intermediate and Advanced techniques of Serato
- How to fully utilize the ‘Cue’ point functions
- In-Depth view of Absolute, Relative and Internal modes
- Advanced looping, Auto BPM and Gain functions
- Creating remixes and recording your sets
- Troubleshooting
